Transportation to and from the Climate All Stars Conference Saint Mary’s Cathedral, 1111 Gough Street, San Francisco Friday, September 21, 2007, 8:00 (registration) 8:30 (program starts) to 5:00. Special buses – ride free and cool to the All Stars conference – first come/first serve Oakland: AC Transit offers transit on a new hydrogen-powered zero emission bus. Board at the AC Transit Office, 1600 Franklin Street. 30 total places available. If you plan to ride AC Transit's fuel cell bus to the All Stars Conference on Friday, please contact us ASAP: info@climateprotectioncampaign.org to let us know the name and number of passengers and where they will board the bus. The Fuel Cell Bus Leaves AC Transit, 1600 Franklin St., Oakland at 6:45 am The bus will remain in San Francisco until the end of the conference and drop off passengers at both locations. Napa: Napa Unified School District offers transit on their new plug-in/ hybrid/ biodiesel school bus. Board at the football stadium parking lot adjacent 1340 Menlo Avenue at by 5:30 a.m. or at the Vallejo Ferry Terminal at approximately 6:00 a.m. 33 total places available. Sonoma /Marin: A bus is chartered for attendees from Sonoma and marin - if interested, please contact us right away. (Although very fun and cool, there is a cost with this option – about $35.) Take Cal Train to the Cal Train Station at 4th and King Street. Transfer to MUNI #47 Bus Get off at O’Farrell Street Stop Walk 2 blocks west on O’Farrell to the corner of Gough and O’Farrell. Climate All Stars Registration is on the ground level of the Cathedral. |
Take 101 North You may take 280 to Highway 101 North or take 101 North directly. As you enter San Francisco move to the extreme left lane and take the 9th Street exit. Stay in the right two lanes on 9th Street, which becomes Larkin Street. Stay on Larkin and then turn left onto Ellis Street. The Cathedral is on your right at Gough Street. |

Take Golden Gate Transit into San Francisco http://goldengatetransit.org/schedules/pages/Bus-Schedules.php Golden Gate Transit offers several buses to San Francisco including the #72; #72X; #73 and #80. Tell the driver you are going to Saint Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco and want to get off at O’Farrell Street. Most buses make stops along Van Ness Avenue, including one at Van Ness and O’Farrell. However, express buses do not make stops on Van Ness, so please check the schedules at the link above! |
Take 101 South. Take the Lombard Street turnoff and continue on Lombard to Gough Street. Turn right on Gough Street and go until you cross Geary. Turn right into the Cathedral Parking lot (spaces are very limited – see parking below). |

Board the #38 or #38L Geary bus on Market Street. Take the bus to the Gough Street stop and cross Geary Boulevard to the Cathedral.
From the Civic Center Station walk to Van Ness Avenue. Walk from Grove Street to Van Ness Avenue and then head north on Van Ness Avenue to Ellis Street, where you will cross Van Ness Avenue and walk to Gough Street. For those not interested in a walk from Civic Center BART. Walk along Grove Street to Van Ness Avenue and then take the 42, 47 or 49 to O’Farrell Street where you will exit the bus and walk to Gough Street.
Board either the #38 Geary or #38L Geary at the Terminal and get off at the Gough Street bus stop. Cross Geary Boulevard to the Cathedral. |

Take the school bus (see above). Take the Vallejo Ferry to San Francisco. Off-board at the Ferry Building. Walk on Market Street to 333 Mission where you will find a bus stop at 2nd Street. Board the #38 or #38L Geary. Take the bus to the Gough Street stop and cross Geary Boulevard to the Cathedral. |
