The Climate All Stars Conference is just a few days away. We have about 350 attendees signed up. Exciting!

Here is information to help you get ready…

  1. Need for teamwork - The conference program is carefully structured. We would really appreciate your being on time so that the conference runs smoothly. Please plan to register, enjoy breakfast, and visit the Showcase of Stars in time to be in your seat ready to go by 8:30 when the first speaker begins.
  2. If you haven’t paid yet – We would really appreciate it if you would pay online by the end of the day Wednesday the 19th. Link here for the registration page to access our secure system: http://climateallstars.org/registration/ We apologize that you have to reregister. The second choice for making payment is the day of the conference. Please note that until we receive payment your place is not secure. If you pay the day of the conference the cost is $85.
  3. Transportation – There are two special alternative fuel buses – one from Oakland and one from Napa on which you can ride free and cool to and from the conference. First come - first serve. We may charter a bus for attendees from Sonoma and Marin – if interested, please contact us right away. Complete transportation and parking information is posted at http://climateallstars.org/transportationtoandfromtheclimateallstarsconference.html
  4. Big vision, bold action – At the conference we’ll be highlighting outstanding achievements and commitments. During the World Café everyone will have an opportunity to make public commitments. See these links for ideas and inspiration: Bay Area Council Survey of Businesses in June 2007, Bay Area Climate Change Organizations, and the Survey of Local Governments.
  5. New addition to the program – There is now a Climate Justice session as one of the concurrent break outs. See the website for more information.
  6. Dazzle your colleagues – Posted at http://climateallstars.org/StellarResources.html are stellar resources for what’s happening in climate protection in the Bay Area. Skim this information beforehand and be ready to accelerate action.
  7. Resist temptation –The World Café is the conference grand finale. This new technology offers breakthrough results to create the future we want, where leaders inspire, align, and move into action. Plus we just landed a spirited ending for the conference. Resist any thoughts about leaving early.
  8. Photographers will rove the conference seeking cool photos. Think Neo and Trinity from the Matrix. (You are the one!) Don’t forget your dark glasses.
  9. Scholarships available for more youth participation. Please contact Maitreyi for more information and to apply. maitreyi@climateprotectioncampaign.org (707) 823-2665.

We really look forward to seeing you and the other mighty leaders assembling Friday to accelerate action for climate protection.

Yours,

Ann and the team at the Climate Protection Campaign
